As a therapist, compassion, non-judgment and empathy are the foundational values of my work. My approach is primarily humanistic and integrative and I draw on various psychotherapeutic models, including person-centred, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT).
With almost two decades working in this field, I have extensive experience across a range of issues. My area of special interest is eating disorders and related difficulties around food, diet, emotional eating and body image. Much of my work over the past twelve years has been focused on this complex issue.
I am fully accredited with the National Association for Professional Counselling and Psychotherapy (NAPCP) and have been an active member of their board for the past number of years.
My previous career incarnation was in merchant banking for eighteen years! My hobbies and interests include walking, parkruns, drumming and avidly supporting Leinster Rugby as a committed Season Ticket Holder!
